I have a motion study that looks like it is working fine. However, I am getting the red bar across the top. Does SW give clues to what the problem is?
I am using SW 2011.
The red bar indicates the solver could not reach a solution during those time periods. Unfortunately, there is no SWIFT Xpert for animations that will show you what is wrong, so you have to do it manually. The way I usually approach solving a problem like this is to drag the timebar and see what is happening to the components as you approach the "red zone". Sometimes the problem will be obvious, other times not. When you see a solution for part of the time and not for others, it usually means that you have a geometry problem where the components cannot reach the desired destination because mates are holding it back. At that point, you can try suppressing what you think is the offending mate to see if it will solve, or change the motion key points.
If you can't find the problem, post the assembly and one of us may be able to help you.
Check you mates? Also what is animating in that region or time?
Can you share the files??
Please use "advanced editor" in case you want to attach any files.
Sometimes just a rebuild is needed or 'force rebuild' with control-q will get rid of this error.
I think Deepak is probably on the right track though, some mates have probably changed in your assembly or motion study, and SW is trying to tell you something is not happy.
Simply just change your Graphic Card.....
