I am doing a drawing for a gas probe that pulls off an equal area grid. Is there a way I can make the tubing lengths driven off a variable duct dimension so i dont have to keep drawing these. I was thinking x=duct depth. Pipe1= x-.1x+nipple length. Anyone got an idea?
Chase,
I am guessing you haven't gotten any replies because other people are as confused about what you are doing as I am. When you say you are doing a drawing, do you mean that you are making a solid model from which a drawing will be made? If so, then it seems like you can make your tubing as a single part with many configurations, based on the depth and length. You can use an equation to link the length of the extrusion to the duct depth. You could also use a design table, which would seem like the best method to me. One column for the depth and another for the length, which has the equation copied in each cell.
