Hi,
We have set up our PDM to follow a revision scheme starting at 1, then going to 2, 3, 4 etc as you up issue.
We now want to implement development revisions following on to production revisions, ie. we want to start a part revision at A, B, C during development, then when the part is released for production, change to 1, 2, 3 ,4. (So you can follow the revisions from development to production as A, B, C, 1, 2 ,3)
Thanks
We do basically the same except reversed. We have our product development process broken into Phase 1 thru Phase 5. SWorks files in Phase 1 & 2 carry numeric revs, then when they progress into P3 thru P5, they are changed to Alpha revs. This is accomplished by settings up lifecycles in PDMWorks. Each lifecycle can manage rev levels and control access to the files. The "rev scheme" tab in PDMW Vault Admin is where you would assign the primary/secondary/tertiary characters.
