We use an add-in from Desktop EDA, SolidWorks Modeler for Altium
It works well for us. We've used it for over 10 years and have never felt the need to look for something better, so there could be a whole slew of newer, faster, better, cheaper products out there.
The output from Altium is useless. It's been like this for a long time now. I've tried explaining this to Atlium on several occasions but they just don't get it.
I will second Jerry Steiger's post. We also use the Desktop EDA package, but since Altium has not released the SDK for AD10 Brian at Desktop EDA has not been able to support AD10.
Hello Altium (if you're reading) - Please release the SDK for AD10 (and the next version as well) since the STEP import/export system you have implemented does not work well enough for tight ECAD/MCAD integration.
