In an assembly once things are hidden to the way you want them, is there a way to save that display?
Uncheck the box for Link Display States to Configurations. Then RMB on one of the existing Display States and select Add Display State. Then rename it to what you want. The reason for unchecking is then you can use that display state with any of the configs - no need for a new config for the hide/show selection.
You may need to explain what "things" you're talking about, but just saving the assembly doesn't work?
If you are talking about a view hit the space bar and select at the top then new view icon
and type in a name. If you are talking about the display states you can create a configuration
and save those settings in the configuration.
you should read up on configurations. It sounds like configs are what you're looking for.
By saving the assembly as a specific configuration (items hidden the way you want) you'll
be able to display it that way anytime you desire.
So what are display states?
Wayne I don't see the option to add a Display State.
Hmm, what version are you on? You should have something like this. (To read up on Display States, look up "Display States in Parts" in the Help.)
Thanks Wayne, that was EXACTLY what I was looking for!
