Mirroring not producing desired result.

Admittedly, I have no formal training in Solidworks...

I am designing a drill fixture in which some components are symetrical to the part I'm drilling.

I designed half of the fixture - then mirrored components about the "right" plane.

The mirrored structure appeared to have built correctly until I added holes to the original pieces.

It appears to have meared the assembly constraints - but has not physically mirrored the actual components into right and left parts.

Either I'm missing something - or this is working properly...

can someone point me in the right direction?

As murphy's law would have it  - the holes are not on the centerline of the part being mirrored -- hench a RH/LH situation...

but I would of thought mirroring them sub-assembly if you will would result in the proper mirrored components.
