Admittedly, I have no formal training in Solidworks...
I am designing a drill fixture in which some components are symetrical to the part I'm drilling.
I designed half of the fixture - then mirrored components about the "right" plane.
The mirrored structure appeared to have built correctly until I added holes to the original pieces.
It appears to have meared the assembly constraints - but has not physically mirrored the actual components into right and left parts.
Either I'm missing something - or this is working properly...
can someone point me in the right direction?
As murphy's law would have it - the holes are not on the centerline of the part being mirrored -- hench a RH/LH situation...
but I would of thought mirroring them sub-assembly if you will would result in the proper mirrored components.
Sorry to ask the obvious but, when creating the mirrored component, are you selecting the Create Opposite Hand Version option?
