No way other than making configurations. One with flex and one without flex.

Actually you can. You just use the lofted bend feature to pull this off.

Would be most interested in seeing this in a '11 version. Have similar requests here on occasion.

I might be wrong but AFAIK, you can only "flat pattern" a sheet metal part using the commands included in the sheet metal menu
