Change Color of Part in Drawing View

    Toby Powell

I am making drawings for a customer with a laser cut profile, bent dimensions, and finished detail. I would like to make the laser profiles red, the bent dimension drawing blue, and the finished detail green. If i put the view in a layer it does not change the colors of the model in the view. Right now i am changing the color the models in AutoCAD but i would like to do it in my solidworks document.

I have read that you can do something like this through configurations or display states, but when i am doing 20 parts at a time it would get very time consuming making multiple display states or configurations for every single part.

I would like to change the color of each model views colors in the drawing and not have to change anything in the part, is this Possible?
