What if I'm the one who's making the drawing, how would I activate that option?

Export options in the "save as" window. "Enable measure" when you save the easm file. It must also be "review enabled".
You mean save as Edrawing file and then enable the measure option. I did that but when I tried to measure in Edrawing, the tape measure just grayed out on me.
Did you check the option shown on the att. image?

I've created edrawing from your part and tested it without a problem - I put all in the zip folder

I don't think so - since edrawing software can be downloaded and used free of charge - it's just a viewer software and SW wants more people using it - wait a minute ... are you using SW student version?

Then I have no idea why you couldn't measure the model in the eDrawing
