Frequency Response Functions from Linear Dynamic study

Question asked by Balakumar Swaminathan on Jan 10, 2012

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a linear dynamic study of a rotor spider model, specifically, a modal time history study. I input a base excitation and I can see stress, displacements, etc. from the rest of the structure as results of the study. I am trying to output the frequency response function of the machine, or what is referred to in Solidworks help files as the modal transfer function. Is there a way to do this? How else does the linear dynamic study compute the modal behavior of the structure. Any help is appreciated.
