Gauge table affecting unit precision?

Hello, I am a SW 2011 user and I have created a gauge table that I use that has our k-factor, metal gauges, and available bend radii. One thing that I have noticed is that every time I use the edge flange function on a part using a gauge table the unit precision jumps from my set 3 decimal places to the maximum 8 places. So I have to go back and change the units back to 3 places under document settings. On my gauge table every cell that contains a number or list of numbers (available radii) are formatted as a numerical cell set on 3 decimal place precision. I am not sure what is causing this, is this a known bug? Please help, it is annoying me so much that if I can not fix it I will probably quit using the gauge table.

I was able to access my work computer from home. This part started out with the unit precision set to 3 decimal places after adding an edge flange the units jump to 8 places. This only happens when I use a gauge table. My table is in a number format set to 3 decimal places. This will keep me from using a table if it can not be fixed. Thanks for the help.

Why will it keep you from using the gauge table?

Do you insert model dimensions when you create your detail?

What happens to the units of precision on the dimension when you bring your part into a slddrw?

Or do you only send solid model data to your suppliers and shop?

I just set up my own gauge table / sheetmetal part template and ran in to this same issue running 2011, SP5. Was a solution ever found?

Randy -

The problem with length's precision reverting to 12345678 following a sheet metal edit on a part using gauge tables has been reported SR 1-2989428251.

The work around for SW12 users is to manually edit the precision back to 123 after completing the sheet metal edit. No kidding.

This problem does not appear in SW13, so there's an alternative plan for early adopters.

Seems odd that we don't have any fossilized remains from FastAdaptor - recognized by their pronated mouse.

I just installed SW13 and the problem has not been fixed. I tried my table and 1 of the sample tables that comes with the installation and got the same results. As soon as I add and edge flange the unit precision jumps from .123 to .12345678. Maybe one day this will be resolved, I sure would like to use it!
