Is there any way I can stop Solidworks from automatically up-revisioning a 'parent' drawing when its technical content has not been altered - the 'child' drawing has been altered but the assembly it fits to has not.
For example, I have a child drawing containing a screw. The screw has now changed in length. The parent drawing shows the screw in place but does not need to be updated. Its 'technical content' hasn't changed. It references the child drawing but thats it. What happens, with how Solidworks is set up here, is that the parent drawing gets automatically up-revisioned because the child drawing was up-revisioned.
Can I break this cycle?
