I did a completely clean install of SW2012 CD with SP1
The toolbox is acting very weird as shown below.
Compare the same with 2011
Anyone experience this with 2012?
Works fine for me. Please report to your VAR.
Are you using 32bit or 64?
Oops, sorry by mistake I had SW2011 opened up that time. I see the same here for SW2012 on Win 7 X64. Going to report it. Looks like the toolbox bug that came up has done this mess.
Even I looked into the configuring toolbox and the list is also messy there.
I've some problem as you, like bad shorting value or during part number assignment.
Please report to your VAR.
A quick update: This is a known bug and already under repair with development team. Expected to be fixed with SW2012 SP 2.0
Does anybody know when SP02 will be released? This is frustrating entering custom properties every time for every toolbox item.
SP2 is expected by end of this month of early February
SW2012 SP2 Early Visibility was released today. You can sign up for the EV program in the Customer Portal > My Profile
With the risk of sounding like a complete SOB, you've made two mistakes here.
1/ You installed Toolbox -- Big mistake
2/ You didn't wait for SP4 or SP5 before upgrading to the next version of SolidWorks -- also a big mistake.
The problem has been fixed in SW2012 SP 2.0 (EV)
I signed up for the EV program this morning as suggested by Anna, how can I access the download?
Login into your customer portal and then go to download and update section to see and download the EV version.
It does not show up yet, all that is available is SP 1.0. I may have to wait for my EV authorization to go thru. This is also attempted by clicking on the link on the front page of the portal in the SolidWorks News box.
I finally found the page to register for EV... off and running!
Thanks for the help everybody
It's not fixed yet.
Have you checked after updating to SP2 EV?
That means, need to wait for SP3 (Going to be a long wait)
At least on my machine, I see the list ordered now.
Have you tried with part as the George's example or on part that has more size ?
I just tested few of them and found them OK.
I'll check that further based on George's example and will update the results.
Here is another one
I have this problem at the moment, the toolbox only works correctly on the machine that has Microsoft Access 2007, my two machines have Access 2010 on them and it is all over the place
I don't think it is the problem with MS Access.because I don't have MS Access at all and still have issues with 2012.
Hopefully it might have fixed in SP2 ( I am waiting for the full releease)
OK thanks John, I have put 2012 SP2EV on and it is still not working, very frustrating
Also imported customized excel doesn't work.
See the video.
