I have a simple hat channel with 4 bends. It has 4 configurations. When I finally got to the point of making a drawing and attempting to put a flat pattern view on it, the flat pattern view came in with red text. When I checked "What's Wrong?", it showed me an error for "Flat-Pattern2" of "this part contains features that cannot be unbent".
I did the usual troubleshooting of making a copy of the part, deleting down to one configuration, suppressing features to see what feature may be causing it, etc. I then went as far to delete every feature (some cutouts and holes) in the part and even change my base flange sketch to be just an L-shaped single bend. Yet, every time I tried to add a flat-pattern view in the drawing I got the message.
What finally dawned on me, and what I'm asking for help on, is that I realized there is NOT a "Flat-Pattern2" anywhere in my part at all. The error it's giving me is for a non-existent feature. Just for kicks, I opened the SolidWorks part file with Notepad and did a search for "P a t t e r n 2" (for some reason it had double spaces) and found where it was mentioning it. Somewhere in the part there is a record of a second flat pattern. I've not been able to find any reference to it so that I could delete it or suppress it or any such thing.
Has anyone experienced this error and noticed the same thing about the offending flat pattern? I'll attach my part so that you can take a look if you desire.
Thanks everyone!
