I always seem to get a vague(ish) answer from our Support team whenever I pose this question ..
Q. When I modify a component that is used in a multitude of parent sub assy's & top level assys - is there a set logic behind the order in which need to tackle the parent assy rebuilds ?
Quite often , when we have visibility of a component "top down" via the PDM bom function, for a major assembly - we don't have the reverse visibility "bottom up " to the assembly , from the component itself.
We tend to deal in revision levels - rather than version levels , but we wondering whether our grasp of version info may be the aspect that's tripping us up.
There's obviously a science behind all this that we're still trying to get our heads around.
