Good morning J
I agree that it is nice software, it is 98% or better; issues are normally related to the information input, is there a part that you changed? Did you happen to delete a sketch or a created axis??
Later,
John
Hello sorry for the late reply
there was nothing deleted and no configs involved.
Its an assy with over 1000 parts
Good morning J,
With the amount of information we have from you it is almost impossible to assist you, so if you could get a screen shot of what your talking about, it would be a big help.
Did you pick a temporay axis or did you create an axis.
If you pick a tempory axis that is based on a circular hole or circular extrude and then later change the the profile of that part it can screw up the tempory axis.
A better way is to draw a construction and use that to insert a axis then pick the axis that you created.
Later,
John
Hi John
The axis of the patern is in the assy template ( axis of a plane + origin). It's a constant thing no temp axis.
From the circular pattern feature, parts were missing (disselected).
regards jan
Are the parts only missing from the drawing, or also the model?
In the model, have the parts been included in the Instances To Skip section?
What are your system specs?
Hi Kelvin,
the parts were also missing in the model
the parts were not included in the instances to skip (it was a pattern of 180°)
specs:
HP xw6400
Intel xeon 2.33 gHz
3 gb internal memory
nvidia Quadro FX 4500
Solidworks 2010 sp 4.0

Good morning Jan,
You had mentioned that your assembly is 1,000 pcs, what is your large assembly threshold qty setup at, Tools/Options/Assemblies. My guess is this;
As you add more components and your assembly threshold qty would be set at 950 pcs and then your pattern would take it to 1050 pcs., that could do some stuff in SW.
Is your pattern in the main assembly or a sub-assembly??
Later,
J,
Are there configurations involved?
Can you post some screen shots of your drawing and/or the feature manager
in the model?
