Is there a text font that I can use for sheet metal that when lasered it won't cut away the center of some of the capital letters like A,B,D,O etc. or do I need to modify one of them?

What you need is a Stencil font. Search the web, I'm trying myself right now, for stencil font and see if you can download one.

I just did a test and found that I already had a "Stencil" font loaded.
It worked for me but then I don't have the laser cutter to check.

I have done a lot of text layouts with SW, the Stencil Font "Style" doesn't work here.
For years I have used whatever font I needed and then edited the part to add the extrusions so the "middle" doesn't fall out.

Right Click on the Text and Disolve Sketch Text (or similar). Then you can "Stencilize" it as needed as John has suggested.
Def would be a nice addition to SW base package, yeah?
I just found out there is a low priorty to have an update. As long as there is a work around we are stuck with what ever we can find. Thank you all for your suggestions.

Exactly. SW is a 3D Modeling Program, what use are obsolete 2-d drawings anyways.
Previously I had been told sarcastic remarks should be a purpe font, don't see the options any longer so I went with italicized underlined to indicate my derision (I learned that one from Pink Floyd).
