how do I create a new origin, offset from the default origin?
I have tried creating a new coordinate system, using 3 planes that are offset from existing coordinate system, it keeps placing the created coordinate system on top of the existing one?....
Look up Coordinate Systems and see if that will do what you want to do. Basically you insert a new one that is defined by you.

I am attaching one that I did. I created a 3d sketch with three lines, parallel to the 3 planes and offset 12". At first I chose each line of the 3d sketch to define the coordinate system and it placed it on top of the existing one, just like yours did. I went back and chose the point at the intersection of the 3 lines in the first selection box and that worked. I hope this helps you.

I ended up doing it your way and it worked, Thanks!!....now, how do I show mass properties...center of mass, moments of inertia, etc, on a drawing?
I'm glad you got the coordinate system to work. I'm sorry but I can't help you with showing mass properties in a drawing. I'm bumping this back up to the top so maybe someone else will see it who can help.
