Greetings dear forum,

I am currently trying out solidworks on a trial basis for my company to test if they want to invest in it.

They are at the moment using autocad to make all there 2d and 3d model. And so far i am impressed

with the functionalities of solidworks. But i am having one problem though, when im importing a autocad 3d model

into solidworks to use its redering functions it wont show revolved models at all.

if the model is a solid closed item like a square there is no problem. But if i import a revolved item like a round chairleg.

Solidworks wont show it. Is there any way to work around this problem? i have become quite fond of the the redering

capabilities in solidworks compared to autocad. But trying to render a fx sofa (i am a funiture designer) without legs

is not really good enough.

So if anyone know of this problem, and more important know a solution of this problem i would greatly appriciate it,

if you could enlighten a newcomer to the solidworks family.

Confused designer.
