What im trying to do is place a miter between 1.5 x 1.5 and 1.5 x 2.0 angle iron. The sketch in the library feature part is the same other than one leg. This can be done in real life so im wondering what im doing wrong. Anyone have any ideas?
Your problem is not really a bug it is more a limitation on how the trim feature works. The miter trim automatically wants to extend both pieces to a point, however, since the one leg of your piece is longer it extends it and makes the pieces look off center from each other. A fix is to add a Move/Copy feature that makes the two edges at the end coincident and line up. It is kind of annoying since it adds another dependent feature to worry about but it does make the geometry correct.
Seems like a bug to me. Send the file to your VAR to check and verify.
Thanks guys for the help. I was hoping for a different answer but the old manual methods work too.
You have plane 10 where you want the mitre cut to be, just use it to perform the mitre, see the attached picture, you can then use the same method to mitre all the other corners.
