Im new to Solid, just started a new job where they are piloting solid works so noone really knows how to work it properly.
Could someone help me how to make a pipe in sheetmetal? i work with big machinery where we have massive sheetmetal components/tubs/pipes.

One thing I would like to mention; If you're doing a lot of different pipes, why not consider adding a design table to your part and then you will be able to easily add more configurations by adding addtional rows in the design table. Changing the values will in the table will give you a new part configuration.

Its a good idea but it would probably not work so well with our PDM system. I will check if i can find a workaround.
Draw a centerpoint arc
Dimension radius
Dimension both end points then center point for degree
Input very small angle for gap .001
Sheetmetal baseflange
input thickness,length and direction of sheetmetal

Depending on how you manufacture them, you'll have to model them. If you make them from a flat plate, go with John's method else simple draw a circle extrude it using thin feature (for thickness) or draw two concentric circles and extrude them.
If you can post an image of what you need, it might be easy to understand and suggest.

Good morning Johan,
Start with a circle and draw a vertical centerline, then draw a diagonal line from the center to the circle, select both lines and mirror. Than trim the circle between the two diagonal lines and add a degree dimension anything from 2degrees to .250 degrees depending on how much gap you want when your finished. Add the sheet metal and give it length and your done.
My computer is acting up this morning so I can't up load a dummy file now, if you need the part drawn out so you can change it to your specs, I am certain one of the guys will step up,
