I am making a trigger assembly for a pumpkin launcher (trebuchet) and am having a problem designing the ratchet and trigger. (see attached zipped files) I want to see the movement to find the interference. I started with a hinge mates but I do not know how to make one push against the other so I tried a cam mate but had problems with that cause I don't know what I am doing. In real life (I've already made it) it will release but I can't get it to go back into place unless I take it completely apart. The idea is for a force to pull on the link and when the quick pin is pulled the ratchet will trip the trigger. I am not sure if I need to redesign the ratchet or the trigger can you help me please? I left off the outer case for one of the sides for better viewing.

Quite easy to do in SW.
1. Use Collision detection under the Move Component command to check for collision dynamically:

2. Use Physical Dynamics to simulate movement through contact (one part pushing another). No mates are needed to simulate the contact:
