I need to make my assembly have a specific origin and loaction on a bolted flange. Cannot find any tutorial on how to do this. Any suggestions?
Good morning David,
Without seeing a sketch or a picture of what you need to do, the following is what I am thinking you should start with.
First create a part that has only the sketch of the flange that your'e talking about and save it as a part, (Skeleton Part).
Start a "New" assembly, save it.
Insert the part and mate it to Front to Front - Right to Right & Top to Top plane. Now build your assembly from there and everything should match back to the Skeleton Part.

instead of three mates to solve, just mate the orgins to eachother with the "align axes" option selected
Good morning Paul,
Good one, I am still old school SW,
My assembly goes on an aircraft engine and the customer requires it to have "engine coordinates. This being said I am trying to find out how to do it. The mating part has a flange which I thought was the best place to put the engine coordinate
Create a dummy flange and use that as your base starting point, or create a skeleton sketch part, either way works,
