Hello
I need help in Simulation Problem , please refer to pdf file below for details
What I am trying to do : is Simulate sliding motion using solidworks And then try to estimate failure
Question :I just I want to understand if this can be done by solidworks
Let me know if I am on the correct path ,my thinking need dynamic simulation but first need static and then dynamic such as fatigue
Let me know if I am on the correct path
I am student at San Jose State Univeristy and I have acess to solidworks simulation
Hi Suhail:
I'm fairly certain you can do this. You can use static (if you don't care about inertial resistance) but since your model has finite movement, it violates the "small displacement assumption", you probably will need to use the "large displacement" switch, and use a controlled displacement "fixture" to move the top plate. We wrote a video for GoEngineer on YouTube, doing the same thing. Here is a link on YouTube that shows how to set it up. Let us know if you have questions! - Tony
