How can I display dimensions in Fractional Inch format in my drawing?
Under document properties and units you can select decimal metric feet feet and inches.
Tools > Options > Document Properties > Units
Set the units to Inches and display as fraction here.
Good morning Deepak,
Just a quick question here-
In a multi-sheet drawing, mostly we set the dimension in decimals;
but, on some specified dimensions, such as the material thickness, we want to make this specified dimension show as fraction.
How can I achieve this without impacting other decimal dimensions? Or we can show both decimal and Fraction.
I am using Solidworks 2010.
You need to select those dimensions and then set their display style from property manager. You can create a favorite style and then simply select the dimensions and apply the style.
Thanks, Deepak... this came in handy just now! Appreciate the input!
With the desired dimension or dimensions highlighted, go to the Property Manager, click on the Other tab, then click in the box for "Override Units". Click on Fractions and choose your Denominator. This will only affect dimensions that are highlighted.
Thanks a lot Glenn and Deepak!
You both gave us so wonderful solutions! Very appreciated !
Thanks you you as well, Glenn!
Thanks guys! That's what I needed.
