why can I get the 55 last millimeters of this sweep ?
I turn and return the sweep, but nothing happens, about those 55 last millimeters.
Tx for your help
I opened up your model and noticed that 3D sketch 3 has a flat portion at the start
of the "S" curve in the sketch where as all the others blend into a nice curve. Not
sure if this was intended or not, but it might contribute to it. Also like I said in my
first posting you might want to add more profiles to better control the shape as it
follows the guide curves. One little bit of advice that I learned from creating sweeps
is when you create your profile sketches use the fit spline command to make the
profile all one entity. This helps with the prevention of twisting in the sweep path.
I would do this except you have the student version and what I have you would not be able
to open. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
Possible you need more guide curves or profiles?
Can you post a file of some images?
I thought I joined it, sorry
Here this problematic sweep.
I already have 3 guides + 1 path.
No curvature change, for those 55 last milliters, so those 55 last millimeters are weird a little.
Tx a lot for your help.
Good luck is really the good term with this program, filled with bugs.
To make my sweep working, I just changed the construction of the plane profile : just defining this plane orthogonal to 3dsketch4 instead of the 3dsketch2.
This definition is done at the oposite of the place where the swwep was aborted....and those curves have nearly same curvature and same torsion, but the fact is that SW is full of weird behaviours.
I am glad you got it to work. You are 100% right when you say that SW has some quorks.
But we all learn how to work around them with unusual behavior at times.
