I got this part I wanted to move around but it. It's fixed, so I thought I'd right click and float it, but there was no option for floating a part. Any idea what happened here?
Did you tried to expand the tree and see if the option is there. Also click on "customize menu" and see if the float option is there in the list, select it and click anywhere. Now again RMB on the part and you should see the float option.
I can't see your entire feature manager tree, however I will assume you are in a Main Assembly file and you are trying to move or float a part that is in the Sub-Assembly File. You can only fix or float a part when you are in the original or created assembly file.
I know this is an old thread, but I figured I would share what I found. I was having issues trying to get certain items to float in a mold assembly. I eventually figured out that those items were part of a sub assembly. Once I right clicked on the sub assembly I was able to make it float.
Right click the fixed part, click the last item"Customize menu" to see the "float" is checked or not.
