I have made a path mate which works well but there are small inaccuracies that I can't correct. See the attached image (I cannot post the parts). The white part moves towards the 'hump' on the black part and the black part pivots out of the way when they contact. The path mate is made between the sketch line and the point on the hump. This is fine but what I really want is the tangent of the hump to follow the line for greater accuracy (as it is there is some interference between the parts as they move over one another). The path mate does not seem to allow anything other than a point to follow a line. The only way I can see of doing this is to modify the line to remove the errors but that would be a time consuming operation.
Anyone know of a better way?
Is the path line a fit spline?
Add a sketch line to your white part at the midpoint of your contact area and use the vertex of the line to mate to the spline.
