what kind of sketch is this ?
what does sketch number 8 on my jpg mean ??
it has multiple contours.
so what does that mean if I have multiple contours ?
It means you have selected a portion of the sketch to be used in some way, rather than the usual method of selecting the entire sketch. For a more detailed answer, you will have to show more of the tree or post a part.
Basically portions of enclosed areas of your sketch.
See this portion from the help file.
Good afternoon dan,
This means that the corners of your sketch are either 1. Overlapping - 2. Not Touching. Your sketch can be defined or underdefined and it wouldn't show up until you go to extrude or cut.
To get this sketch to extrude you have to select the inside of the sketch.
Look at each line end and see if it meets up with the other line.
That is what is called a multiple contour sketch. A true sketch as shown just below it is a single contour sketch with no open ends.
