Is there a way to cop an entire sketch from one part to another?
Sure there is. You can try Copy and Paste, or even easier, CTRL+drag from one window to the other. Try to pick the sketch from the feature tree of the donor and drag it to a face or a plane on the receptor.
Copy entities, and past entities? When I try that it only duplicates it in the first sketch.
Yes, this works, but it does not preserve the location of the origin. In other words, you made the original sketch with respect to it's origin. When you paste it into a new part it just plops the sketch down any ol' place. It doesn't sync-up the original sketch origin with the origin in new part. Can anyone tell me how to do THAT?
I would use a library feature then, David.
Yeah that can be a problem when the sketch is not fully defined (other than the origin placement). Then you can use a block, so it will hold together until you get it back in position. Then explode the block.
Not really. A library feature should be fully defined, so you can just point to the anchor (in this case the origin) for placement.
