    Reaction Force at a constraint

    Robert Strickland

Hello. I am a new SolidWorks simulation premium software user. I have an assembly that has angle brackets with bolt holes to connect my assembly to a foundation. The foundation is not part of the model. I have created fixed constraints at the bolt holes. I want to find the reaction forces at these connection locations after applying loads to my assembly. Do I need to input bolt connections? Or is there a specific way do show this listing free body forces? With other FEA packages I wouold create a node at the center of the bolt hole and create rigid connections to connect to adjacent nodes on the bracket. Then fix that center node. Then I could display the reactions at that node after running the analysis. Is this possible in SolidWorks?
