This is useful stuff here Deepak, but I still would like to know how to do it without having to create configurations. If I did that I would be creating 20 plus configs. I don't really have tons of time to do all that because each one would take me a day to do. I have large scale assemblies that I am working with. (700 plus parts) Let me know if anyone has figured this out. It would be very useful to have this option. Thanks
Welcome to the forum.
What I would do is create configurations in your assembly representing
the two different ways you want the model to show up in the drawing.
Then in your drawing place your views. RC on the view and select properties
and select the config you need.
Why not just use the Convert View to Sketch option for the view? You lose the connection to updates but it sounds like you don't care. It's a simple command and can be done later if the model/assy changes and you need to recreate the converted view again. Plus you have the option to convert them as a block if wanted.
