Is there a way to export SolidWorks assembly documents into AVEVA PDMS as a catalogue item. Do we have a common CAD format between SolidWorks and PDMS?

Few common formats I could find were IFC 2X3(.ifc) and VRML(.wrl) formats in 2011 seems to work with lots of CAD design review softrwares or a middle softwarae which can convert them to PDMS.

Any light thrown would be of great help.
