Where is the option tp Put * where a Item in the drawing is unballooned in the BOM item list .
You can just double-click in the cell where the balloon number is and type the *. If you meant you want to do it automatically for an item that isn't ballooned, I don't know of a way.
Are you talking about when you RC on the component in an assembly and go to
the properties and in the lower right side is the selection "Exclude from Bill of Materials" ?
When this option is selected the balloon in the drawing for this component will show up
with the * Other then that you might have to explain yourself a little more.
Exclude from BOM
I mean that if there is no balloon in the drawing view, it puts a star next to item number in the BOM colum to denote that the part is unballooned.
It makes it easier to check the drawings. Especally when your changing an previouly drawn assembly.
It was an option i had on solidedge.
Ok, get it. Not sure what version you are using, but in 2011 (not sure when this feature started)
you can select the three arrows to the left of the BOM and flyout it out and it will show you with
a tiny balloon symbol which items have been ballooned on the drawing. That is what I use and
others as well where I work to do this.
Yeah found it now , some time you need to put unballooned part in the bom for certain reasons the asterisk is useful for this.
Understand. You have to use what works for you.
Glad you at least figured it out.
That idea is okay when your item numbers remain static, a pain when the change because the assembly has been changed.
You can add two properties in a balloon. So change the other property to text and add *
