How do I mate the insert to the carbide on the 7 degree angle without removing the 55 degree angle surface constraints? Thanks.

Attached to the original post is the pdf of the drawing. The top & bottom surfaces of the diamond tip should be parallel.
Aha, so this is more of a modeling question, no so much a mating issue. If nobody answers back before the end of the day, I will give it a try.
It's a simple geometry problem.
I created another cut from the 25 degree angle out, that seemed to have helped. Still having some problems, if you have a chance to work on it, I would really appreciate it. I would like to constrain either the front or back surface with a mate, but the edges will not align due to the angles. This is frustrating. Thank you for your help.
Something like this? Please check everything very careful, because I have very little experience with how the cutter is supposed to look. Also, I had to "approximate" some of the dimenions shown there.
Sorry, but I did not have too much time tonight.
Hi Alin. That is what I am looking for. The dimensions are OK because the pdf is sketched in 2D and not real accurate. Thank you, please, if you have time, can give me a quick overview on what you did? Thank you so much!!! Great job.
Hi Coleen, glad you could use the fileset. I did exactly what Deepak suggested. I modeled the insert first, inserted and mated it in an assembly containing the shank and I edited the shank in the context of that assembly. This way, I could use the faces and edges of the insert to create the cutouts on the shank.
Edit the features on the shank inside the assembly and you will see exact what I did at each step.
Disclaimer: You can achieve the same result in various ways. Mine is not necessarily the best or the quickest.
Hi Alin. I am creating another drawing similar to the one you did - but with slightly different dimensions. I am not having very good results. What surface did you use to create the first cut, the one that is on the angle? I need to change that and can't find what surface that is. Thanks. See my attached drawings D-807. Thank you.
