Good morning All,

The last few days I had questions about a bounding box macro and I have tried a few this morning with mixed results.  One thing I noticed is the macro result is put into the configuration properties not the custom properties.

First I need to explain my situation:

Here they want the overall size of the part on the drawing (see attached).  In my Custom Properties Builder I have a List Box where I type in the Size

There have been a few projects that are mostly sheet metal, anywheres from 1 to 30 components.

Following are the steps I take to get the information into the drawings.

1. After final design I update the CutList. (In the feature manager tree)

2. Left Click on the CutList to expand.

3. Right Click on the Cut-List-Item1

4. Select Properties then the bounding box pops up

5. Hand write the Bounding Box Width & Length

6. Go to the Custom Properties tab

7. Select the Size

8. Input the hand written info (Human error or fat finger disease comes into play here)

What I was looking for is the macro to read off of the Sheet Metal Gage, using the bounding box width/length, (instead of x,y,z), and returning those values to either StockSize or any thing else.

I may be the only one doing this, however that doesn't change anything here.

Thank you all for your time,

John Stoltzfus
