I should silently deploy eDrawings. Although I set ENABLECHKFORUPDATE=0 on the msiexec command line, as described in the administrators guide, the checkbox to check for service pack updates is set in the options dialog.
Welcome to the forum.
The check for updates if you are talking about spervice packs for
Solidworks is under the help pulldown. Is this what you are talking about?
CHECK FOR UPDATES
No. I have to disable auto check for updates by passing the property on the installation command line, as described in the administrators guide, but unfortunately this does not work as described.
According to this link for edrawings it doesn not mention about what you are saying.
Try this method.
Sorry, this is a misunderstanding. I have to make a silent installation of eDrawings, so that the checkmark next to "Tools>Options>General>Check for service pack updates every 30 days" is not set initially, to prevent users from being faced with the update dialog, because users do not have administrative rights. I tried it as described in the Administration Guide under http://files.solidworks.com/Supportfiles/eDrawings_Installation_Guide/2010/English/install_eDrawings.htm (look for ENABLECHKFORUPDATE), but this does not work. How do I install eDrawings silently, so that the checkmark next to "Tools>Options>General>Check for service pack updates every 30 days" is not set initially?
Still waiting for a solution. Why does the ENABLECHKFORUPDATE=0 property not work? Is this a bug?
