When a user opens a SW file but it has not yet been checked out, there's a dialog that asks if they want to check out the file. I would like to turn this feature off. I don't want the user to prompted to check out a file every time. They should only check out files that they specifically intend to modify, and I'm afraid they'll get in the habit of checking out every file every time 'just in case' because they are always prompted to do so.
Much better for them to just get the file in it's read-only state by default with no prompting, and then if the truly need to check it out they can easily do so from within SW.
I've searched the docs and the interface and I can't find any mention of a way to turn this off. Does anybody have the answer, assuming it _can_ be turned off?
