Hi All,

I want to model a reinforcement pad for a vessel/tank nozzle. Currently the vessel is modeled as a weldment with derived parts for flanges / caps placed in appropriately.

Im struggling with how i can go about making a reinforcing pad by in someway referencing the shell of the vessel. By this i mean i dont want to build it as an assembly and mate the part in. I want to build it as a body that referencings the surface of the shell , this way it is easy to play around with the reinforcement area as this is going to be a driveworks model.

Note also that a flat pattern is needed for the workshop guys to gas cut out.
