Can anyone help me to convert this Solidworks drawing into a .dxf or .dwg??
Can anyone help me to convert this Solidworks drawing into a .dxf or .dwg??
Thanks for the welcome and quick response!
-attached is the model-
Sorry, I should have been more clear, I am also not able to open this drawing with my version of solidworks.
Unfortunately I have solidworks 2005, and this drawing was created in a newer version, and I haven't found a way to open/convert the file yet.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
AJ
I am running 2011.
This is the best I could do. I tried pointing to the part file you gave me. but it seemed to
want an assembly. So the views came in with dashed lined boxes with "X" through them.
So I deleted them and replaced them with the part file. I believe the original ones had
dimensions associated with the views.
I just tried up loading them and the window errored on me and I already deleted the files.
I will try this again later.
Thanks Scott, any help is appreciated! The dimensions are not critical, all I really need is the outine/profile of the drawing (it is of an electric motor). Thanks again for helping a SW rookie!
Deepak, thanks for the reply. I have viewd it with edrawings, but my ultimate goal is to be able to open it in 2D AutoCAD (dxf / dwg) or 3D AutoCAD (sat / step).
Try the attached.

AJ, I am so sorry.
What happened was I had the file converted into both .dwg and dxf and when I
tried uploading it to this thread the site errored on me. In the mean time while I was
uploading it I deleted all of the files off of my desktop and because it was the end of my work
day I did not have time to redo it.
I am glad that Kelvin was able to help you. I figured by the time I got back to this someone
probably would have.
