I have two configurations. There are two dimensions that conflict. One dimension needs to be active in one of the configuration and the other dimension needs to be active in the secon configuration. Is this possible?
Isn't the dimension tied to a feature that can be suppressed or unsuppressed in the DT?
t the part is very simple. The feature is the solid that the sketch is cutting. IT is the only solid. If I supress the feature then I have no solid to cut.
Any chance of you posting your part?
Can't you just open the second configuration and edit the dimension for that configuration?
The dim must reference from a center line of a feature to two separate points.
You can't basically disable them but can try two things:
I tried setting the dim as driven but when I switched to the other dimension it was driven in that one too. It seems that if I set a dim as driven it is that way in all dimensions. What is the proper way to set a dim as driven for a single config?
RMB on the dimension and select properties. There should be option in the pop window for setting the dimension to driven and for specific configuration. Sorry don't have SW right now to give you an exact location/sample part/screen shot.
here is a picture to go with Deepak's method:
Here is YouTube video of how to do it.
Jeremy, thanks for the screen shot.
Wayne, that's really appreciated.
Perfect! Thanks Wayne and Deepak. The video was incredibly helpful.
Yes, the command is a little quirky in that you have to go back and uncheck the driven check box to get it to make it driving even though you set it to the specific configuration. Also cannot change it in inactive configuration.
