I am going to buy new SolidWorks 2009 + WinXP 64Bit workstation.
But I can't decide which combination of CPU + chipset is better for SW performance.
Header 1 | Option 1 | Option 2 |
---|---|---|
CPU | Nehalem i7-960 Older and slower CPU | Sandy Bridge i7-2600K Newer and faster |
Chipset / Motherboard | X58 triple-channel memory controller | P67 double-channel memory controller, |
Soket | LGA1155 | LGA1366 |
I need your advice...
I doubt you will (legally) be able to buy SW2009 new, and XP will soon be unsupported by both MS and SW. Win 7 would be the better option.
