Hello, I'm new to eDrawings. I'm dimensiong an assembly and can't figure out how to get the dimension tool to recognize a hole. I can dimension to the edge of the hole using the virtex tool but when I select the hole tool, nothing gets highlighted. On the other hand, I can recognize the hole with the measure tool. I'm using eDrawings 2011 sp4. Anyone else solve this one?
Michelle can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing.
I am assuming you are using the Measure commands in eDrawings to query a model that you have and that SolidWorks is not your main design program.
When I view a model in eDrawings 2011, SP4 I am not able to select the Hole Tool under the Measure tab. Something I find odd since there are Hole Wizard holes in the part I tested. I can select Edges of the hole, but not the Vertex.
Not much help I know. Just trying to understand better what you are seeing in eDrawings se we can offer help.

Welcome to the forum.
First e-drawing is nothing more then a viewer. Unless you have e-drawing professional
which allows you to red line files.
The only way dimensions come up using the hole dimension command is if the hole was created in
holewizard. Try dimensioning the hole in your model then import the dimensions using insert model items.
