Does anyone know why when I save an animation as an AVI file (20FPS, SolidWorks Screen, Microsoft Video 1 compressor set to 85, Key Frame Every 8 frames [not sure what that is]) that it comes out with the background looking like it was rendered in Windows 3.1? I can't seem to figure out how to get ride of the striated lines, both in the background, and on certain parts as they move.
Also, if anyone has any links to some good animation tutorials online (anything better than the rather worthless tutorial), I'd appreciate it.
It's the Microsoft compression codec. You're better off to save with no compression and then convert to something like an mp4 using the h.264 compressor.
Better still is to save a series of images from Motion and then compile the image sequence into a video in a 3rd party application.
