Sorry if the subject is a bit convoluted, but this is what I want to do. I want to be able to do individual installations from a DVD but with the latest service pack. For instance, I have the SW DVD with SP 0.0. I want to create a new DVD, somehow implement the SP 4.0 onto it and be able to install on an individual machine.
Does that make sense? Is this possible?
Just download the entire SP4.0 version of SolidWorks with the SW Installation Manager. There is an option for that in the SW Installation Manager to download the complete DVD to any location you choose for installation at a later date and/or multiple computers..
It will be a complete SP4 intall of SolidWorks. You will not need to install SP0 then patch with SP4.
Then burn that set of install files to your DVD if you need to. I just keep the install files on one of our servers and do the install from the network, since many of our computers do not have DVD drives in them.
No need to contact your VAR.
Cheers,
Anna
