I extruded a cylindar w/ 0.5" dia and 1.5" length.
I then wanted to use the hole wizard to place two, 1/4" - 20 holes on each end. After specifying the hole type, I entered 3D sketch mode and placed one point on the face at one end. The center was automatically available for selection. I then rotated the model and placed a point on the bottom face. Again, the center was automatically selected.
Thinking I was done, I selected the green check mark and discovered that only one hole was created at the location specified first (top). There was no hole on the bottom.
Assuming that it just "didn't take" I opened the hole feature for editing, and tried again to place a hole location on the bottom face. When I did, I received a modal warning message: "Sketch points cannot be created a the same location as an existing point." This would imply that the location was recognized, but the hole wizard is not placing a hole there.
I can create the part using two separate hole features made w/ 2D sketches
I can also create two oposing holes on a cube w/ 3D sketching.
I have verified that the holes are not interfering with one another (only 0.5" deep).
I have verified that both of the points exist by viewing the sketch in the expanded feature manager.
Any idea why I don't get the 2nd hole? I'm attaching my part
