I just installed WorkGroup PDM and filevault on my local machine (a couple months after I did a fresh install of SW2011), and the instalation seemed to go fine. However, the VaultAdmin program didn't seem to install with it. I attach a screenshot of my start menu - nothing there!
I am just learning about PDM, and i know that step 2 is using VaultAdmin to set up accounts, etc, but I don't seem to have that application.
I think I may have solved my own problem by reading another discussion.
VaultAdmin can be installed by clicking Add/Remove programs in the control panel of Windows. Find the SW instalation in that list, click it and then hit Change. This brings up the SW Instalation Manager, which let's you install VaultAdmin.
I'm guessing it wasn't installed as part of the WorkGroup PDM installation because not everyone who installes PDM will actually administer the vault.
