I have a new machine that is running an ATI Firepro V4800 graphics card.
Are there any particular settings that optimize it for working with Solidworks 2011.
Thanks in advance
I didn't do anything except download the latest drivers.
You now have a video card capable of full scene antialiasing, so if you are running windows 7 64 bit, you can go to SolidWorks>Tools>Options>System Options>Display/Selection>Anti-aliasing>Full scene anti-aliasing. This will "blur" the edges of your models to make them smooth. Some people don't like it, I do.
Other than that I didn't actually change any of the Catalyst options, I kept them all at the default.
Thanks for the info Charles.
The options for full scene anti aliasing is grayed out though. I am running Win 7 66 bit.
Have you any ideas?
Are you trying to tick this option with no parts or assemblies open? If you have a file open the option is grayed....
That did the trick.
