Solidworks Help says I get to pick the scope of the Relative View, but after picking the front and right view surfaces, there is no option for Scope. SW2011. Am I missing something?
I'm using SW2010. Does SW2011 not have this when you make your selections?
No. I do not have the Scope part of that dialog box. Did that disappear for SW2011?
I'm on 2011 and I'm seing the scope option. Does your model have multiple bodies?
I think the "Scope" section of the Relative View property manager is only present when the model file is a multi-body part file. I've tried using Relative Views to get parts modified in assembly (assembly cut features) detailed back in the part file. I saw the same thing in SW 2010 when my relative view model is an assembly - no scope. I ended up making a display state in the assembly that was just the part being modified, and using that display state of the assembly in my part drawing's view.
Is the model an assembly where the relative view is coming from?
My drawing has both, an assembly and a weldment (multi body part). I am trying to generate the Relative View form the weldment drawing view. I just tried it again, and it worked. I might have originally tried to get the Relative View from the assembly view. Thanks for the help.
