I would like to show some dimensions/measurements with tolerances in Composer. I can see how to add a +/- tolerance, but I would like to show a limit tolerance if possible. My SW model already has the dimensions set up with the correct limit tolerances; is there a way to import those into Composer (or reference them somehow)?
If not, the +/- might work, but why can't I type the tolerance in inches? If I want +/-.005" I have to type .127 so it will show up correctly. If I just type .005 I get .000". I have the units set to inches and all of the dimensions show up as inches, so why would the input still need to be in MM?
Thanks in advance.
Jed, Composer won't take your dimensions from SolidWorks. I'm sure dimension will get better in the future, but it marketed as Publication tool, not a CAD tool. I've had to through out my CAD brain when using Composer, so it will take awhile before the CAD guys start getting some input into Composer. I've actually generated images in Composer, then put the image in a SolidWorks drawing to do the dimension in that way....
